Ajo

Yesterday I had 2 dual flights after each other with the intention (as we didn't had to go back to falcon) to make a longer navigation than normal.
The flight took us to Marcus airport in Ajo, a little airfield in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by military (restricted) airspace.
To get to the airfield we needed a clearance of gilabend airforce base. The cleared us to Marcus airport but we could not fly higher than 500 feet above ground level and we had to follow the only road there was, heading to Ajo city.
Today I had mission 57 and for the weekend I've two more flights, one to Yuma and one to Blythe.
Busy times ahead!

  1. Hello Mathias
Problem: all my maps are in Blankenberge with your parents, so I can't follow you. I just have an atlas but I don't find Ajo there. Yuma is near Mexico I saw. In fact you're really in the desert all over there. Beautiful Pictures. I have to admit, I envy you, seeing all these marvellous landscapes.
    Wish you many good flights.
